A wholesome family struggling to make ends meet has their world turned upside down after they rent a room to a deranged olympic hopeful.
About the project:
Joseph Ruzer's, 'The Squatter' combines the reality docu-series format with his unique storytelling style.
The subject of 'The Squatter' is based on a personal account Ruzer experienced when a short-term tenant refused to leave his parent's house, staying well beyond his initial agreement - turning their lives, as well as the lives of their four children, upside down. Affecting hundreds of thousands of Americans yearly, the events in this film are an artistic re-imagining of the possible terror a tenant can bring to innocent people choosing to open up their homes.
